Greyface Dartmoor Sheep

The Greyface Dartmoor is a hardy breed suited to grazing uplands and able to cope with most weather conditions. A sturdy longwool breed with a long fleece traditionally used to make blankets and carpets.
Unfortunately, The Greyface Dartmoor sheep is on the RBST ‘Rare breeds list. This breed is slow growing, not something todays commercial farmers want. This is part of why numbers are so low. We bought two Greyface Dartmoors as pet lambs and fell in love with them.
These and the Swiss Valais are the friendliest, most docile sheep. We now have pedigree breeding ewes and occasionally sell rams and wethers.

You may spot the Greyface sheep here on ‘our webcams’
