That you so much for such a wonderful stay over New year.
The Barn is fantastic- warm, cosy and the little christmas tree made it feel very festive. Nothing has been too much trouble for you - and thank you for our tour of your farm - feeding the alpacas and sheep made our day.

What a fabulous place to stay, spotlessly clean and very well furnished, Moorparks is set in lovely quiet surroundings and Erik and Michelle are great hosts, friendly and very welcoming, they are always available if you need them but leave you alone to enjoy your time there.
The animals are great, especially the eggs from the chickens it’s nice to just to sit and watch all the animals, we were fortunate to be there to when the new ducks arrived, my children spend all their time out with the animals.
Although Moorparks is situated inland it serves as a great place to stay giving you options on where to go, we travelled to different places everyday and would strongly recommend a visit to Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, lynmouth, Westwood Ho!, Clovelly and crabbing at Appledore, if you fancy a drive then visit Brixham.
Highly recommend a stay at Moorparks, this is our second year in a row and we have just booked again for 2020

2nd visit to Moorparks, have stayed in the Barn & the Cottage and both are tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable. Lovely outside seating areas in sun or shade. Erik & Michele are very warm and welcoming, the Devon cream tea and eggs from the 'girls' were very well received on arrival.
The sheep and alpacas are very friendly and you can get up close and personal if you desire ? ?. We would certainly recommend a stay here and will certainly be back. Thankyou Erik & Michele

Thank you Erik & Michele, again for your time and all of the 'behind the scenes' effort to make our stay memorable. Your attention to detail and the thought you have put into supplying all one needs for a tip top stay remains unbounded ! "Thank you so much" seems inadequate for all you have done; however, you know what we mean! ;-). Hope to see you again soon.

Our reason for visiting Devon was to spend time with my cousin and her family who live in Torrington. Therefore our days out were long and busy, however, as soon as we drove along the driveway we couldn't wait to go through the amazing entrance and be embraced by this wonderful barn with all its comfort and tranquility. Thank you Erik and Michele for a wonderful place to lay our weary heads and for all the special touches. This barn provided everything we needed and more. Our only regret is we only booked one week. Hopefully we will see you again.

Beautiful barn and lovely to sit in the garden surrounded by bird song. I enjoyed watching the animal antics and particularly the nightly ritual of the chickens filing into the hen house in "pecking order". We were blessed with glorious weather fitting of an equally glorious part of the country. Thank you for your hospitality.

(Barry and Pamela) Thank you Michelle and Erik for providing such a comfortable, well equipped, quality accommodation and the hospitality extended to us on arrival. The welcoming cream tea was a pleasant surprise as were the eggs for breakfast.

Perfect Family Holiday! From the moment we arrived at Moorparks Farm, we knew we were going to have a relaxing and fun holiday with the kids - a complete escape. Erik was with his sheep when we arrived. He greeted us and made us feel very welcome, before showing us around our home for the week - Moorparks Barn. The accommodation is absolutely perfect and better than the pictures (and they were good). A brilliant mix of old features, with modern comforts. Every detail has been thought about and clearly Erik and Michele are very passionate about what the are creating at Moorparks. Something they should be very proud of. A short half term break and a determination to experience the Tarka trail from end to end by bike with two (almost) teenagers. We achieved our aims and much, much more besides. We chose Moorparks because of its easy access to Gt. Torrington and the mid point of the Tarka trail, and leave, having felt very lucky and privileged to have stayed here. The Barn is simply beautiful, and very thoughtfully equipped. There is nothing that we have felt we needed, and lots of little personal touches that make you feel instantly 'at home'. With warm, welcoming and extremely helpful hosts, we have enjoyed our most memorable short break - ever! It is so difficult to believe that this is Erik and Michele's first season because everything has been just so right ! Thank you for letting us share your Barn for a few days - we hope to be returning. (Taken from the guest book)

Moorparks Farm

We love our animals at Moorparks and we enjoy letting others experience being with them, hands on. We started with our first three sheep about a year after moving to Devon, just to help keep the grass down.
We now have:
• Resident chickens
• Runner ducks
• Our pet sheep, including our original three and Larry Lamb.
• Pet alpacas
• A breeding flock of Pedigree Greyface Dartmoor sheep and their lambs
• Our starter flock of Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep
Many of our guests spend hours with our animals and we are more than happy to share them with you and teach you more about them.
Have a look at our Facebook page for more detail.
