What a fantastic find Moorparks cottage is.
The Cottage we stayed in is fab, arrived to Scones, Jam & cream and fresh eggs, everything you could ask for & if you have forgotten something Erik & Michele are on hand to ask, nothing is any trouble......
On our last day full day at the cottage, we decide to explore Moorparks and Erik was on hand to show us around to meet all the sheep up close of which we can only remember a few names.
Spent the afternoon in the garden. We certainly do not want to leave & we are already talking about coming back next year..
We cannot thank you enough Erik & Michele fo rmaking us so welcome.

What a find!
We received a very warm welcome from Erik and Michele and were introduced to some of the animals-namely the ducks and sheep! The Cottage was spotless and equipped to a very high standard with the aim, we are sure, of making you feel as if you're at home. The views are beautiful - open Devon countryside.

We've had a fantastic holiday here. The Cottage is very well equipped with everything you need to get you started. Beautiful scones with clotted cream and jam were waiting for us along with milk, tea bags and coffee. The Cottage has such a homely feel to it, we love it and want one of our own. It was such a joy to sit outside and watch the sheep, alpacas and chickens during the day, so very relaxing. At night we would sit out and watch the bats and just listen to the night life.
Erik and Michele are such a lovely couple, very knowledgeable about the area. If there is anything you require you just have to ask. Thank you Erik and Michele for making our stay here so perfect. We are looking forward to coming back.

Once again the accommodation has been first class. Due to the warm weather we've enjoysed breakfast and dinner on the decking.
Moorparks is a haven for wildlife and we've enjoyed watching the family of Great Spotted Woodpeckers on the feeders and on two occasions have seen Stoats in the garden.

"The cottage was well equipped and easily accessible by road enabling exploration of north and south Devon, Dartmoor and Exmoor. It had a washer/drier, full-sized cooker, dishwasher and 'fridge. The log burner was an added bonus, with a first basket of logs provided and additional supplies available from the owners. The 'Smart' TV was a welcome addition. We stayed at MOORPARKS COTTAGE in July 2017 & I have to say that it is the best accommodation we have ever been to. The owners Erik & Michele made us very welcome. On our arrival we were greeted by Erik & were given tea, coffee, sugar & 2 pints of milk, as well as scones, cream, jam & half a dozen eggs. The accommodation was spotless & well equipped with white goods towels etc. The property had a NO PETS policy which we really liked as it is getting harder to find this type of accommodation.

Moorparks Farm

We love our animals at Moorparks and we enjoy letting others experience being with them, hands on. We started with our first three sheep about a year after moving to Devon, just to help keep the grass down.
We now have:
• Resident chickens
• Runner ducks
• Our pet sheep, including our original three and Larry Lamb.
• Pet alpacas
• A breeding flock of Pedigree Greyface Dartmoor sheep and their lambs
• Our starter flock of Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep
Many of our guests spend hours with our animals and we are more than happy to share them with you and teach you more about them.
