23rd July 2019Westward Ho! beach is a favourite of ours. The Summer months in Devon and Cornwall can get very busy. The population expands to four times as many so everywhere is that little but busier. We don’t go to the beach during the ‘School holidays’ but always make the most of being so close at other times. Westward Ho! beach is about 35 minute drive from the house/holiday cottages, in Devon terms, that’s ‘just down the road’. For those ‘in the know’ there is a free car park just next to The Pier House, the owner of the Pier house paid for it and looks after it. So, we usually park there and take a walk along the coastline. On the prom is a pebble beach and a little further away a long stretch of golden sand.
