Moorparks Holiday Cottages North Devon
Moorparks Cottages, the perfect holiday accommodation to explore Devon
For those of you who don’t follow our Facebook page, 2023 was a special year as it was our last at Moorparks and last in Devon. Moorparks Holiday Cottages will no longer be taking bookings . Michele and I have had an amazing time in Devon. So many special places to visit and we have loved learning about and spending time with our animals. We would like to thank everyone who has stayed with us over the last 8 years, some once but many year after year. Moorparks, our animals, our guests and the amazing places in North Devon have made this a wonderful time. We hope that your memories of Moorparks Holiday Cottages will be as long lasting as ours. If this part of the world is special to you don’t forget our friends at Woolly Animals holiday cottages, just down the road. Thank you.Erik & Michele Robinson

Farm Life
We have a breeding flock of rare breed Greyface Dartmoor sheep, lambing is usually February/March. Also in the sheep paddocks are our Swiss Valais Blacknose ewes and our ‘pet boys’. The six alpacas are our pets but also act as ‘security’ during lambing time and are happy to chase any fox away. The chickens and ducks are Michele’s pets and provide eggs for breakfast!Looking for something to do in Devon ?
The North Devon coast is a 30 minute drive, Exmoor and Dartmoor a 40 minute drive. Devon is great for all your outdoor activities including walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, rock-climbing. Being so close to the North Devon coastline there is also the chance of sailing, caving, swimming in the sea and surfing. However there’s also plenty to do for those with a more relaxed approach to nature and the great outdoors! The cottages are only a few minutes’ drive to RHS Rosemoor and the town of Great Torrington, where you can easily join the Tarka Trail. The Tarka Trail stretches over 30 miles and is great for walking and cycling, bikes can be hired in Torrington (we have a bike shed if you bring your own).Or….just sit on the decking with a glass of wine surrounded by the animals.
Here’s some of our favourite places to visit.
